Is this app free?

Yes! PegBoard is completely free with no subscription fees or hidden costs. Like other free creative tools, you only pay for Claude API usage when generating tools.

Do I need to know programming?

No! Just describe what you want in plain language.

What are Claude models?

Sonnet is fast and efficient for most tasks. Opus is the most capable model for complex tasks that need deeper reasoning, but uses tokens 3-5x faster.

What is planning mode?

Planning mode lets Claude understand your requirements before writing code. Turn it off when you're ready to generate the actual tool.

How do I use my tools?

Install the loader addon in your 3D software. Your tools will appear in the PegBoard panel.

Can I use tools offline?

Yes! Once generated, your tools work offline. You only need internet when creating or modifying tools with Claude.

Where are my tools saved?

Tools are saved locally in your system's app data directory, each in its own workspace folder with version control. You can export tools when needed.

Is my data private?

Your tools and code stay on your machine. PegBoard optionally collects anonymous usage analytics (no personal info or file contents) that you can disable in Settings.

Can I use Codex, Gemini, or other AI instead?

Not right now, but if there's demand we can add it to the roadmap.
